# Important Announcement: EU1 Will Stop Accepting New Recordings on the 1st of August 2023

After [introducing the EU2 region](https://blog.addpipe.com/new-eu-region-eu2/) and [migrating from EU1 to EU2 in the Auto-all](https://blog.addpipe.com/replace-eu1-with-eu2-in-auto-all/) distribution mechanism, it is now time to say goodbye to EU1.

Starting with the 1st of August 2023, the EU1 region will stop accepting new recordings.

Existing recordings stored by us on EU1 will continue to be stored by us in their initial location on EU1’s Amazon S3 storage. Their public URL will not change. Information about these recordings will remain available in your [Pipe account dashboard](https://dashboard.addpipe.com).

The few accounts with environments that still use EU1 will be notified intensively in the coming period.

Environments that will not be switched to EU2 (or other regions) by the account owner will be switched by us to EU2 on the 1st of August, 2023\.
