Update September 2024: There is a new WordPress plugin available. You can read more about it in [this blog post](https://blog.addpipe.com/pipe-recorder-plugin-for-wordpress/).

In the past few months we’ve been hard at work improving Pipe and [adding new features](https://blog.addpipe.com/pipe-0-10-dropbox-integration/) but at the same time we also worked on an integration with WordPress that would allow webmasters to take advantage of Pipe’s awesome video recording capabilities.

The new [Pipe Video Recorder](https://addpipe.com/video-recorder) Plugin for WordPress is now [available for free](https://wordpress.org/plugins/pipe-video-recorder/) on WordPress.org.

Here are a few examples of things you can do with the Pipe plugin:

- Create video posts
- Capture user-submitted videos and later embed them in posts/pages
- E-recruiting: accept video resumes for job candidates
- WordPress vlog: transfor any WordPress website into a Vlog
- Video reviews for products, services or events
- Video feedback for blog posts
- Pretty much anything you can think of that involves video recording

Let me walk you through a quick installation and setup of the plugin.

1. Download the plugin from the official [WordPress.org page](https://wordpress.org/plugins/pipe-video-recorder/) and install it on your WordPress website
2. Go to the new *Pipe Video Recorder* entry in your admin sidebar and choose *Settings*

1. The next thing you want to do is insert your *account hash*, which you can find in your *Account Settings* at addpipe.com. Now go to the *My Account* section and click on the *Webhook* tab at the top. In the *Webhook URL* field type the address of your WordPress installation. In this case it’s */* – just change it to match your scenario. Important: make sure the URL ends with a trailing slash “/”!

**If you don’t already have a Pipe account you can [Sign up here](https://dashboard.addpipe.com/signup).**

1. Go to the section called *Embed Video Recorder* and click on *Generate Shortcode*.

**Done!** You can now paste the shortcode into any post or page where you want the video recorder to appear.
