Teams: Invite Others to Join Your Pipe Account
One of our top-requested features is finally here: Teams
You can now easily invite others to join your Pipe account. This can be very helpful if, for example, multiple developers are working on implementing Pipe and need separate access to the account.
How it Works
To invite others to join your Pipe account, navigate to the new Team dashboard section. From here, you will be able to send new invites (in batches of up to 5 invites at a time) via email.
Once the invite is sent, the person will receive an email from Pipe with an invitation link, which will expire in 7 days. Based on that link, they can sign up to join the Pipe account either by email and password or via Google.
You can invite the same email multiple times, but only the last invite will be the valid one. All older ones for the same email are automatically expired.
While in the pending
state, invitations can be canceled one by one. This means that the invite link sent via email will no longer be valid.
The new section displays details about the pending invites and separately details of the already joined team members of the account.
A trial account or an expired subscription cannot invite new users to their account. You need a paid subscription to have access to the Teams feature.
Limitations for Invited Users
Any new user who joins the account will have full access to the Pipe account with the following exceptions, which are reserved only for the account owner
(the user who originally created the Pipe account):
- Account deletion
- Team invites
- Canceling team invites
- Subscription cancelation
- Subscription upgrade/downgrade
Invited users will be able to access the live chat widget directly from the dashboard using their name/user.
